A Wideband Transition from Microstrip Line to Microstrip Spoof Surface Plasmon Polariton Line for Microwave/Millimeter-Wave Applications

In this article, a wideband transition from microstrip transmission line to spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) is reported. The proposed realized achieve better performance starting low frequencies up 40 GHz. shape of the unit cell taken in such manner that momentum, impedance, and polarization can be matched with SSPP line. wide operating band achieved by perturbing only cell. Extra care choosing so fabrication circuit becomes easier, especially at millimeter-wave frequencies. has good transition-occupation ratio efficiency. efficiency for all three designed cases are excellent, it 34.18%, 44%, 39% p = 1 mm, 2 3 respectively. It potential candidate realizing antennas devices due its attractive properties, as compact layout, cost, ease even frequencies, operational characteristics.
